Beta Alpha Psi - BAΨ
Beta Alpha Psi is an international honor and service society for Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems students. Founded in 1919, the purpose of BAΨ is to recognize outstanding academic achievements, promote the study and practice of financial information professions, provide opportunities for self-development, and encourage ethical leadership, social awareness, and public responsibility. Many business professionals you will meet as a student had their roots in BAΨ. More information can be found on the BAP International website. Our chapter, designated as Gamma Omega, was founded by the late Muhammed Moustafa in 1972. Forty-five years later, our chapter has maintained its Superior Chapter status by exceeding the requirements set forth by the BAΨ National Headquarters. In order to join the organization, students must undergo a semester-long pledging process outlined in the How to Join - Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) page.
History
Established in 1972, Beta Alpha Psi & Accounting Society has served a pivotal role in the development of its members. Our organization is one of the busiest student-operated organizations on campus; completely operated by members who simply want to give back. On average, 72 events per year are operated by the chapter; ranging from twice-a-week speaking engagements to social events and community service, our chapter offers a great amount to its members and to the community. Designated as the Gamma Omega Chapter, our organization maintains a superior standing with Beta Alpha Psi International. In addition, our chapter, along with Beta Alpha Psi Pomona, co-hosted the Beta Alpha Psi Western Regional Conference in the Spring of 2014.
