ABSOC Committee
Shuyan Tan, Chair
Committee members will be able to expand their business knowledge and networking skills beyond BAP&AS. They will be able to participate in meetings every first and third Thursday each month in the ABSOC room on the second floor of the CBA building. It is our duty to relay information about BAP&AS events to other business organizations. Committee members will have the opportunity to learn more about other upcoming events from other CSULB business organizations to take part in and spread the word to BAP&AS members, and collaborate with the other CBA student organizations.
Community Service Committee
Sophia Isabel Duque, Chair
Assist the DoAS to seek out and plan opportunities for community service events, with an emphasis on our current virtual environment. The members on this committee would be in charge of getting in contact with organizations that could benefit from our support.
The community service committee is in charge of organizing volunteer opportunities locally and getting BAP&AS members involved with contributing back to the community. Every student gets busy with school and recruiting, so it’s a great way to not only socialize with other organizations but become exposed to other productive ways to contribute as students. This committee has the potential to make a significant and positive impact in the area.
Professional Development Committee

Formerly the Academic Development Committee, the primary responsibilities of committee members are to:
Provide extra assistance with resume, cover letters, and mock interviews
Help connect students with professional alumni
Special Events Committee

The Special Events committee works closely with the Director of Accounting Society to organize, plan, and set-up for our big events. Due to the current virtual environment, the members of this committee will help facilitate our virtual events so they run smoothly. It's a great way for new members to meet other BAP&AS members, as well as being one of the main reason our large events are so successful.
Public Relations Committee

The Public Relations Committee works closely with the Director of Correspondence to produce the organization's monthly newsletter, The Ledger, by conducting interviews (via Zoom, phone call, or email) with featured students and professionals writing event recaps and summary reports. This is a fantastic way to build your professional network!
Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee works closely with the Director of Correspondence promotes a strong online presence to connect with members, alumni, professionals, and other schools and organizations. Marketing chairs will continue the same traditional responsibilities virtually, which includes keeping social media followers up to date on all the events and creating flyers via Canva, and posting weekly Member Spotlights throughout the semester.
Fundraising
Chantal Perez, Co- Chair
Fundraising & Data is responsible for seeking out fundraising opportunities during the semester in order to offset the costs of events and resources of the organization. They contact persons in charge of venues, gather information, and communicate important details to respective board members.
Data
Miranda Tran, Co-Chair
Hugo Yamauchi, Co-Chair
Data responsibilities involve working with the Director of Records to record organizational involvement throughout the semester, utilizing data, coding, and business intelligence to maintain accurate reporting records and analyze event feedback. Additionally, the data committee assists with maintenance and upkeep of the official BAP&AS website.
Resume
Damary Garcia, Co-Chair
Noah Hardway, Co-Chair
We create a résumé book every semester for firms to refer to during Meet the Firms. This special committee is in charge of reviewing members' résumé and setting up meetings to provide positive feedback to improve them. Ideally, we are looking for seasoned BAP&AS members with a 3.0 GPA or higher to conduct résumé reviews; you may also be asked to carry out mock interviews.
Recruiting and Community College Outreach

The recruiting committee is tasked with promoting Beta Alpha Psi and connecting prospective members with the organization. During these unprecedented times, we are empowering virtual connections through online presentations, advertisements, and community college outreach. In in-person circumstances, the committee is responsible for early-semester tabling and in-classroom recruiting.
Mentor and Mentee Program

The Mentor Program allows alumni and veteran members to guide our new members in their transition to balancing school and being an active member in our organization. The coordinator will pair mentors and mentees together and facilitate monthly online meetings and other events.
Mock Interview Program

The Mock Interview Program will help our members prepare for any upcoming interviews they might have through the planning of our Interview Day event and pairing of newer members with veteran members for mock interviews. The committee coordinates and pairs our members with veteran members.
